Staff Wellbeing 

At Kiddy Academy, we focus on both the professional growth and personal wellbeing of all our staff members.  

Our management team ensures staff wellbeing concerns are listened too and if required offered advice or referral to other agencies to establish that our team members are adequately and effectively supported. 

Additionally, Kiddy Academy have a staff seamless supervision process commitment to creating a supportive and nurturing work environment. Supervision meetings are every 16 weeks with a manager and a (KIT) Keep in Touch) meeting with a room manager every 8 weeks. This is both formal and we have an open-door approach when required. 

Training and Professional Development 

Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is deep rooted to your career at Kiddy Academy Day nursery. We offer comprehensive induction procedures, underpinned by an induction passport to record skills and competencies. Ongoing training opportunities to ensure that our staff members are fully equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary for their roles. Our offerings include: 

In-House Training: Led by our qualified Quality and Training Manager, our in-house training programmes cover essential areas such as safeguarding, prevent duty, and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. 

External Training: Staff members have the opportunity to access external training courses and further their education, ranging from NVQ qualifications to degree-level studies. 

Career Progression

We offer numerous career development opportunities, including promotions to roles such as room leader, deputy manager, nursery manager, and essential management positions. 

Working Hours 

Kiddy Academy operates all year-round, with structured weekly rotas and shift patterns between 7.30am and 6pm. We offer flexibility and accommodate staff requests for various family friendly shifts whenever possible and offer both full-time and part-time positions to suit individual preferences.

Incentives 

We operate an employee sickness scheme reward system to recognise and reward the conduct, punctuality and dedication of our staff, staff members benefit from a £60 quarterly financial bonus. We offer a 40% staff childcare discount for their own children. 

Uniforms 

Each employee is provided with full uniform tops and trousers, with the option to purchase additional items as needed. Our uniform policy ensures a professional appearance, with staff required to wear smart black trousers and flat black shoes.

We prioritise regular team-building events to promote a sense of togetherness and belonging among our staff members. 

We recognise the significance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance and strive to ensure that our staff have ample time for personal pursuits and relaxation outside of work hours.
