Do you ever worry about your child’s ability to write? This thought crosses a lot of parents minds especially now in the run up to school. This picture shows the hand of a typical child at EYFS age and a typical hand of a 6/7 year old child. The development of the bones in a child’s hands plays a massive part in children developing the ability to write. We always encourage our parents to focus on various activities which support the development of children’s hands and their fine motor skills. These include lots of play! Using play dough, finger paints, cutting, throwing balls, threading, using building blocks. The list is endless. Please tag us in any stories of your children taking part in fine motor development activities at home 🤩 #childcare #liverpool #finemotorskills #eyfs
